North Warwickshire Leisure proudly offer three fitness facilities at Atherstone leisure complex, Coleshill leisure centre and Polesworth fitness hub.
Boasting top of the range fitness equipment, alongside additional quality fitness areas for unbeatable value for money!
Experience the latest approach to fitness and wellbeing, with facilities and equipment to support your experience at Atherstone, Coleshill and Polesworth.
Alongside the main gym at each site, which includes a free-weights area, we also have functional training rooms and conditioning zones.
There are also studio’s and workout areas, which house our top-quality group exercise classes at Atherstone leisure complex, Coleshill leisure centre and Polesworth sports centre, with Atherstone swimming pool offering water-based exercise classes.
Please note: Polesworth fitness classes take place at Polesworth sports centre and the gym is located at Poleworth fitness hub.
Inductions and goal setting
INDUCTIONS:
The instructor will provide explanations and demonstrations on the use of the equipment, and a personalised exercise programme will be created for you, giving you the self-assurance to continue with your work outs.
We strongly recommend that our gym users routinely engage in a review of their fitness programme. This enables them, and our instructors, to ensure that they are achieving, or aiming towards, their fitness objectives.

- Weekly sessions delivered over 12 weeks.

Gym and Functional Zones
North Warwickshire Leisure gyms offer a wide range of the very latest Cardiovascular (CV) equipment with touchscreen technology and Freeview TVs built in, including Watt Bikes* and Stairmasters* as well as resistance and plate-loading machines. (*Equipment may vary, per site.)
With our free weight areas boasting dumbbells from 2KG up to 50KG.
The resistance equipment is designed to get the most out of each muscle worked, and the free weights cater for all sizes and strengths. Free weights are effective when it comes to losing weight, toning up, adding muscle, and improving sports performance.

Our Functional Zones boast the latest equipment to support with your functional training requirements; including Assault Bikes, Ski-ergs, Kettlebells, Powerbags, TRX* and so much more.
You could even try one of our small group instructor-led sessions to give you that extra push.
TEEN FIT
‘Teen Fit’ is our junior membership for children aged 12-16 years old.
As an under sixteen ‘Teen Fit’ member you can use an extensive selection of equipment in our gyms, access our fantastic group exercise classes or use our swimming pools.*
When attending the gym for the first time, all ‘Teen Fit’ members will complete a membership process with a supervisory adult before completing an induction with a member of the gym team.
With experts on hand to guide and coach you, this is where your fitness journey begins!
You will also be given a tailored gym programme to help you to achieve the results you are looking for, along with an individual programme card which highlights the recommended exercises and equipment to use.
Following membership and access to the Gym facility:
It is important that all ‘Teen Fit’ members always have their programme cards with them whilst using the equipment.
The use of dumbbells and similar free weights or pre-weighted bars (under 20kg) is allowed, however use of the squat racks, racks and Olympic bars is not permitted. All of this will be recorded on a valid programme card.
All site users under 14 year old must be accompanied by an adult or another member aged 16+.

GENERAL ADMISSIONS AND JUNIOR ADMISSIONS POLICY
We are committed to ensuring that all our customers, regardless of their age, ability, or personal health, have regular access to the best facilities and advice available. Our team is on-hand to guide and assist you on your fitness journey. In order for us to continue a high standard of service for all gym members, the following terms and conditions listed below are compulsory. Failure to comply with all these rules may result in a disciplinary process.
GENERAL ADMISSIONS POLICY:
- All customers are advised to have an Induction.
- Membership cards must be scanned prior to your session.
- No spectators are allowed in the gym.
- All bags and valuables must be secured in the areas provided.
- Safe and appropriate sportswear, including footwear, must be worn at all times.
- Hoods or unsuitable headwear are not to be worn whilst training.
- Only plastic drinks bottles are allowed to be used in the gym. No glass or cans are permitted.
- No food is to be consumed in the gym.
- The use of alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly forbidden.
- We operate a zero-tolerance policy for foul and abusive language and bad behaviour towards staff or other customers.
- If you wish to listen to your own music, please ensure you are using headphones.
- Only North Warwickshire Leisure affiliated PT Trainers are allowed to operate on site.
- Please respect the equipment and wipe off any perspiration after use.
- When you have finished with the free weights, please break them down and replace them in their holders or back on the rack. Do not leave loose plates or bars on the floor.
- Please report any equipment faults to the gym staff on duty.
- Please put litter in the bins provided.
- No filming is permitted within the leisure facility, unless prior approval has been given by site management.
JUNIOR ADMISSIONS POLICY
JUNIOR GYM - PRIOR TO ENTRY*
- All under 16's MUST be set up with a membership (with parent/guardian present at time of signing up) prior to first gym use.
- All under 16’s MUST have an Induction before their first session.
- All under 16's MUST have a programme card issued.
- Membership cards MUST be scanned individually prior to your session.
JUNIOR GYM - AFTER ENTRY*
- Under 14’s must always be accompanied by an adult gym user.
- Under 16’s must always have their programme card with them when using the equipment.
- Use of the free weights is NOT permitted, unless prescribed by an instructor and a programme card is issued to this effect.
- If there is NO PROGRAMME CARD on the Junior's person - NO FREE WEIGHT USE IS PERMITTED.
- The free weights that 14–15 year olds can use will be clearly marked.
- Grouping or gathering around equipment will not be tolerated.

Aquafit*:
A fun low impact class using the resistance of the water to effectively burn calories. (*Atherstone leisure complex only)
Bodybalance:
A motivating blend of Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga that will help improve your mind, your body and your life.
BodyCombat:
A high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 570 calories!
BodyPump:
The original Barbell class that strengthens your whole body, challenging all major muscle groups. Great music, awesome Instructors and choice of weights to inspire you and get the results you came for!
Bootcamp:
A full body intense training workout suitable for all levels with a wide variety of options and different levels.
Boxercise:
A high intensity interval training class based on boxing training.
Boxfit:
A high intensity interval training class based on boxing training.
Circuits:
A circuit of cardio and resistance exercises allowing you to workout at a level that suits you and help you to achieve your goal.
Fitsteps:
An energetic, up beat dance fitness class featuring all of your favourite strictly dances.
HIIT and Abs:
A simple to follow, high-energy interval training class suitable for all levels, with a sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina.
HIIT Circuits:
An Instructor led circuit session in the Functional Room, using some of the latest equipment to get great results!
Keiser IC:
Indoor group cycling riders can easily track and log every detail of their
rides on Keiser M3i bikes to see their progress.
Keiser and ABS:
30 min intense cardio on an M3i bike followed by abs and core work on mats.
Legs, Bums and Tums:
Combinations of high and low impact exercises, as well as floor work, to tone up and improve muscular endurance in the legs, abdominals not forgetting your bum!
Pilates:
Designed to improve core stabilisation, mobility, postures and breathing. Enhancing flexibility, balance and co-ordination.
Quick HIIT:
A 30-minute intense class using some of the latest functional equipment to get results fast!
Rebound:
A safe, effective and fun low impact workout performed on a small trampoline. Getting in shape has never been such fun!
Spin and Abs:
30 min cardio on a bike followed by core work on mats.
Studio Cycle:
No complicated moves. with music that begs your legs to pedal getting fit has never been so easy.
Total Toning:
Designed to sculpt and strengthen the whole body with a range of easy to master exercises within a motivating environment.
Yoga:
A range of flowing moves and stretches to improve posture, strength and flexibility.
Zumba:
Shake your body to fiery Latin and International music. Fun, energising and easy to follow. Come and join the party!
Zumba Toning:
Zumba® moves and body sculpting techniques using maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks for a body sculpting class.
ATHERSTONE LEISURE COMPLEX - Complete with large screen Smart TV, hosts our Indoor Cycling classes, including the innovative Keiser Intelligent Cycling programme and exercise classes which benefit from the use of this purposefully designed space throughout the week.
MEMORIAL HALL (Atherstone) - Offering programmes such as Les Mills BodyPump, BodyCombat and BodyBalance, Zumba, Keiser Intelligent Cycling and Yoga.
