Environmental Health and Private Sector Housing Enforcement Policy Consultation

North Warwickshire Borough Council is seeking to update it's Environmental Health and Private Sector Housing Enforcement policy to enable fair regulation of these areas and are seeking your views. The Policy outlines the Council’s overall approach to regulating these areas by the provision of advice, assistance and enforcement to protect the health and safety of residents, businesses, visitors and the environment.

The private rented sector is an important part of our housing market and has expanded greatly in recent years. It is therefore important to the Council to continue our commitment to improving standards within it. The Council are therefore seeking to support improvement in the quality of private rented accommodation in North Warwickshire and the Policy incorporates additional options to ensure safe accommodation is provided to all tenants renting privately.

We are undertaking a consultation for the public and stakeholders to put forward their comments before the end of Tuesday 23rd July 2024.
