Celebration

On Friday 18th October North Warwickshire Borough Council’s Communities Team hosted a special celebration event to showcase the achievements made possible by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) has provided North Warwickshire with a significant boost of £1.965 million over the past three years. This funding, allocated by the central government, has been distributed to councils throughout the country, and its success is a collaboration of local authorities, businesses, community organisations, and residents.

The event held at Lea Marston Hotel recognised the diverse projects that have received support. These initiatives include enhancements to play areas, assistance for local sports clubs, building improvements to support local organisations, grants for events celebrating the King's coronation, improving accessibility in our green spaces, and support for employment opportunities.

Individuals and groups in receipt of UKSPF funding were invited to attend this event which included a showcase of some of the projects. Presentations demonstrating how UKSPF (funding has made a difference were given by five of the Project leads; Sally Roberts (NWBC) and Jason Bains (We Care UK), Heidi Goody (Baxterley in Bloom), Paul Blakeman (Hercules Construction), Joe and Scarlett Barrett (The Teenage Market), Junaid Hussain (The Disability Forum) and Donna Billson, Billy Sumner and Caroline Symonds (The Coleshill Partnership).

Leader of the Council, Councillor David Wright said, “This success would not have been achievable without the dedicated efforts and collaboration of numerous individuals. I’d like to give a special thank you to the Members, Officers, and partners who formed the Panel, their commitment has been instrumental in driving this positive change”.
