On Saturday 5 October 2024, the Mayor of North Warwickshire, Councillor Colin Hayfield, held an event to celebrate the heritage of North Warwickshire at Merevale Hall with the kind permission of Sir William Dugdale.
The event featured guest speakers including the renowned historian Professor Chris Dyer, CBE, FBA, Emeritus Professor of Regional and Local History at the University of Leicester, Dr Mike Hodder of the School of History and Cultures, University of Birmingham and Dr Andrew Watkins of the Centre for Regional and Local History, University of Leicester.
Representatives from twelve local groups presented their work and shared their current activities and ambitions for the future.
