Garden Waste Collections
The council offers an opt-in garden waste collection service.
Apply HERE NOW for a Green Bin Permit
This service costs £43 per green bin per year, running from 1st April to 31st March. Collections are fortnightly excluding Christmas/New year. Find out your collection day using our rubbish and recycling collection search.
Green Bin Service
You can opt in for collections at any time but there are no discounts for part-year subscriptions. All subscriptions end on 31st March. We do not offer any discounts for any reason, including benefits claimants, multiple bin subscriptions or infrequent collections.
After you sign up we will send you a permit sticker to put on your green bin. Permits will arrive within 10 working days of payment.
We’ve partnered with Planters Garden Centre again to provide Green Bin Service customers with special offers including free hot drinks and money off vouchers. To get your vouchers simply take the printed backing label off your permit (not the permit itself) to the Information Desk in Planters Garden Centre, Trinity Road, Kingsbury, B78 2EY. We hope you enjoy them!

We encourage you to sign up early to allow enough time to send your new permit sticker out to you and avoid any disruption to your collections.
When signing up, after payment please make sure you wait until you are re-directed back to our online form where you will be given a reference number starting with GBC and a confirmation email will be sent if you have provided an email address. If you are not re-directed or do not receive an email confirmation, please check your online banking to see if a payment has been taken. If no payment has been taken, please apply again or ring our Contact Centre on 01827715341.
After you sign up we will send you a permit sticker to put on your green bin. Permits will arrive within 10 working days of payment.
Once this has been received please stick this on the back of your green bin below the handle, so that the crews can see it when they come to do the collections. Your green bin will not be emptied without a valid permit sticker.
