What is HS2

HS2 is Britain's new high speed railway connecting London and Birmingham. The service will provide faster, zero carbon journeys between the to largest cities. Services will continue to Manchester, the North West and Scotland using the conventional rail network. 

High Speed Two (HS2) Limited is the company responsible for developing and promoting the UK's new high speed rail network. The project is split into phases, with Phase one underway between the West Midlands and London. Phase two plans to extend the line further north towards Manchester and Leeds.
