Larger home extensions
Under changes to the permitted development rules Class A has been revised to allow larger extensions. Before work can take place the applicant must go down the 'Notification of a Proposed Larger Home Extension' route.
The size limits will double from 4 metres to 8 metres for detached houses, and from 3 metres to 6 metres for all other houses. The relevant legislation to the notification is covered by class A. The relevant form and guidance is below;
The fee for submitting an application for the Larger home extensions will be £120, as set out in the relevant legislation..
The Council encourages the submission of planning applications using the Planning Portal.
Only 1 copy of documents is required by the Council.
