2021 - GPDO 2021 revisions - The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2020 – No. 1243 – comes into force - regulations 3, 12(1), 12(2), and 12(5) (which relate to articles 3(9A) and 3(9B) of the GPDO) come into force on 06/04/2021, regulation 4 (which relates to Part 4 Class BA of the GPDO) comes into force on 01/01/2021, and all of the other regulations come into force on 03/12/2020. .

Regional Spatial Strategy
The West Midlands Regional Spatial Strategy has been formally revoked by Statutory Order SI2013/933. This was laid in Parliament on 24th April 2013 and came into effect on 20th May 2013. Therefore the West Midlands Regional Spatial Strategy no longer forms part of the statutory development plan for Warwickshire.
Prior to its revocation the Regional Spatial Strategy for the West Midlands (formerly known as the West Midlands Regional Planning Guidance) was formally adopted by the Secretary of State on 14 June 2004. It was being revised in three phases. Phase 1 covering the Black County is complete, and was issued by the Secretary of State in January 2008. The Phase Two review was launched in November 2006, and had been through its Examination in Public (EiP). GOWM published the EiP Panel Report on 28th September 2009. The Report includes the Panel’s findings and recommendations to Government about changes to the draft WMRSS. The Secretary of State’s Proposed Changes were expected. Phase Three was launched in November 2007. The RPB published their Options document for consultation from the 29th June – 14th August 2009.
