VE Day Grants
Applications are now closed. You will be informed of the outcome week commencing 7th April 2025.
The 8th May 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day. 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe.
Available Community Grants
North Warwickshire Borough Council is helping the community to celebrate this historic event by offering two grant schemes:
Up to £250 to parish councils, town councils and constituted groups for community-based activities in North Warwickshire
£100 to community groups or individuals for street parties held within the borough.
The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 28 March 2025, applications will not be accepted after this time.
A panel of Councillors will review the applications and you will be informed of the outcome week commencing 7 April 2025.
Street Parties and Road Closures
If you are celebrating V E Day with a street party and would like to apply for a road closure, please be aware that applications must be received 8 weeks before your event.
The Government have useful information on their website regarding help towards organising street parties.
My Department (GOV.UK) has launched an interactive website, which offers key information and resources, including ways to get involved in the commemorations. The site features downloadable digital materials and an interactive map of events that may be useful.
