Scam Alert!
We have been informed about a rise in scam messages being sent to mobile phones. These messages falsely claim that you have an outstanding parking ticket and urge you to make a payment.
The message will often include a link that directs you to a fraudulent payment site or may infect your phone with a virus.
If you receive a message like this, please:
- Do not click the link
- Disregard the message
- Block the sender’s number
- Report the incident to the Fraud Action Line at 0300 123 2040 (available Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 8 PM)
Stay vigilant and protect your personal information.

Paying Housing and Garage Rent
You will need your tenancy reference number to pay your Housing or Garage Rent. Your tenancy reference will start with a 3 or a 7 and have 6 numbers in total, for example 312345 and is sometimes called a Rent Account Number. It will be on your tenancy agreement letter, rent card, rent statement and may be on letters we have sent you next to Our Ref.

If you want to confirm the outstanding balance please phone 01827 715341 and the Contact Centre will be able to advise you of the balance and take a payment.
Pay for Housing and Garage Rent
Paying Council Tax
You will need your account reference number which can be found on your Council Tax bill or letters we have sent you. It starts with a 4 and will have a total of 9 numbers or start with a 4 and have 8 numbers and end in an X, for example 412345678 or 41234567X.
Help! If you do not know your account number you see the account reference on one of your bills. You can also use our online Contact Us form to ask for your account number or phone 01827 715341 during office hours.

Pay Overpayments of Housing Benefit
You will need your Invoice number which will start with a 9 and have a total of 7 numbers, for example 9123456. This can be found on the invoice we have sent you.

Pay Business Rates
You will need your account reference number which can be found on your National Non-Domestic Rate Bill or letters we have sent you. It starts with an 8 and will have a total of 9 numbers or start with an 8 and have 8 numbers and end in an X, for example 812345678 or 81234567X.

Pay Invoices (sundry debt)
You can pay for invoices you have received from us, such as trade waste, cesspool emptying, housing repairs, licensing, environmental services or any other invoice. The invoice will begin with a 5 or 6 and have only 7 numbers for example 5123456.
